Andreu Martínez ha dejado este lunes el cargo de director general de los Mossos d'Esquadra y ha sido relevado por el hasta ahora jefe de Gabinete del Consejero de Interior, Pere Ferrer. Según ha avanzado Catalunya Ràdio, Martínez ha dimitido tras quince meses en el cargo y en vísperas del segundo aniversario del 1-O. Desde el Departamento de Interior han aseguran que la decisión no tiene nada que ver con la situación política actual y han informado que Martínez "considera que ha cumplido una etapa" con medidas como las nuevas convocatorias de agentes de Mossos o la incorporación de la policía catalana al Centro de Inteligencia contra el Terrorismo y el Crimen Organizado.

Andreu Martínez has left this Monday the position of general director of the Mossos d'Esquadra and has been relieved by the hitherto head of Cabinet of the Interior Councilor, Pere Ferrer. As Catalunya Ràdio has advanced, Martínez has resigned after fifteen months in office and on the eve of the second anniversary of 1-O. From the Department of Interior they have assured that the decision has nothing to do with the current political situation and they have informed that Martínez "considers that he has completed a stage" with measures such as the new calls of Mossos agents or the incorporation of the Catalan police to the Intelligence Center against Terrorism and Organized Crime.
