LNER A4 Class 4-6-2 no.4464 'Bittern' hauled the London Victoria - Weymouth - London Victoria tour 'The Cathedrals Express' (1Z90/1Z91). The section from Yeovil Pen Mill to Weymouth and back was diesel hauled. For the outward shot we decided to head to Crofton and as we were a little tight for time I decided to try something different and get Bittern up the top coming round the curve. She can be heard whistling away and is seen bursting out from under the road bridge and storming past us. I wasn't going to film the return as I was hoping to see 71000 'Duke Of Gloucester' but as she had been failed at Eastleigh and they stuck a 66 on the front it lost my interest, so instead went out to see Bittern returning. We come to a new location for me, just south of Woodborough to the site of what was Patney and Chirton Station, on the footbridge. I just about managed to catch Bittern before the light disappeared completely as she was running about 15 or 20 minutes late at this point.
